New Orleans Red Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. red beans
1 qt. water
ham and bone
3/4 tsp. hot sauce
large onion, chopped
1/4 c. celery and leaves, chopped
1 bay leaf
Preparation
-
Soak beans in quart of water overnight.
Cook beans.
When half done, add remaining ingredients.
Cook until all ingredients are soft.
Mash 1 cup beans and add to make beans thick.
Serve over rice.
