Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. headless raw shrimp
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    2 Tbsp. green pepper, chopped
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 1/2 to 2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
    1 pinch of thyme
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of cayenne pepper
Preparation
    Peel, devein and wash shrimp.
    Saute onion in oil (about 6 to 8 minutes).
    Stir in garlic and green pepper.
    Saute for 2 minutes.
    Blend in flour; add tomato sauce and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in water, thyme, parsley, shrimp, salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Serve over cooked rice.
