Creamy Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
    4 c. (16 oz.) shredded Cheddar or Jarlsberg cheese
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. chopped onions
    1 c. cheese crackers, crushed
    green onion fan (garnish)
Preparation
    Bring water and salt to a boil in a large Dutch oven; stir in macaroni.
    Return to a rapid boil and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until tender; drain.
    Rinse with cold water; drain.
    Combine macaroni and next 4 ingredients.
    Spoon into a lightly greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish; sprinkle with crackers.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Garnish, if desired.
    Yield:
    6 to 8 servings.
