Mincemeat Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. water
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
1 pkg. mincemeat
pinch of salt
2 tsp. soda
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Boil water, sugar, shortening and mincemeat for 3 minutes. Let cool.
Dissolve salt and soda in cup of boiling water.
Let cool and add to mincemeat mixture.
Add flour and baking powder. Bake at 350\u00b0 until done, about 40 minutes.
