Candied Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. sweet potatoes
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 orange
2 or 3 drops yellow coloring
2 Tbsp. flour
6 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook sweet potatoes and peel.
Slice into 2-quart casserole dish.
Cube orange and remove seeds.
Grind orange and add water, sugar and coloring.
Cook until syrupy.
Mix flour and melted butter.
Add to syrup with the rest of ingredients.
Blend well and pour
over sweet potatoes.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
