Turtle Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box German chocolate cake
3/4 c. melted margarine
1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
(Can be done in microwave or over double boiler.)
Mix together dry cake mix, margarine, remaining milk and 1/2 cup nuts.
Press half of cake mixture into 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked cake mixture.
Pour caramel mixture over and sprinkle rest of nuts.
Dab remaining cake dough over caramel layer.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
