Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 large green tomatoes
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/4 c. flour
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Wash and slice tomatoes 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick.
    Beat egg and milk in bowl; set aside.
    In another bowl, mix flour and meal. Dip tomatoes (salted and peppered) in milk mixture, then in meal mixture.
    Place into skillet of hot oil and fry (not too fast) until browned on both sides.
