Caramel Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramel kisses
2 Tbsp. water
1/8 tsp. salt
6 unpeeled medium sized apples
1 c. finely chopped nuts, if desired
Preparation

Place caramels, water and salt into top of double boiler over boiling water until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth, about 10 minutes.
Stick wooden skewer in the top where stem should be.
Dip apples in caramel.
Sprinkle with nuts if desired. Set aside on wax paper-lined cookie sheet.
If caramel should become stiff, add a few drops of water.
Chill until caramel coating is firm.
