Peach-Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 cup water
    8-9 cups sliced peaches (about 4 #)
    2 cups self-rising flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    2/3 cup buttermilk or sour milk
    4 Tbsp. butter (melted)
    4 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 cup chopped pecans
Preparation
    In saucepan combine the 1 1/2 cups sugar, corn starch, cinnamon and stir in water.
    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
    Add peaches, return to boiling.
    Cover and keep warm over very low heat.
