Pineapple Icebox Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. vanilla wafers, crushed
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    4 eggs
    3 c. crushed pineapple
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 c. chopped pecans
    small jar maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Line an 8 x 12-inch baking pan with half of the water crumbs. Cream sugar and butter in a bowl.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Spread over crumbs; add pineapple and spread whipped cream on top.
    Sprinkle with pecans and top with remaining crumbs.
    Garnish with additional whipped cream and cherries.
    Yield: 18 to 20 servings.
