Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
    3/4 c. water
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 lb. popcorn, popped
Preparation
    Boil sugars, syrup and water together in large pan to soft-crack stage or 290\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Add butter and melt.
    Add vanilla and soda; stir until thick and creamy.
    Pour over warm popcorn, mixing well.
    Add nuts.
    Shape into balls, if desired.
