Veal, Creole Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 lb. veal cutlets
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. tomato catsup
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 bunch small carrots, peeled
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Cut veal into serving pieces and brown in shortening.
    When they are half browned, add salt and onions; finish browning.
    Add carrots, green pepper, catsup and water.
    Cover and cook slowly for 45 minutes.
    Thicken gravy if necessary.
