Egg Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. milk
Preparation
    Beat eggs, sugar, salt\tand
    vanilla
    together\tby
    hand until foamy.
    Heat milk slowly until
    scalding
    and
    add to egg mixture while beating.
    Sprinkle
    top with nutmeg (if desired). Put pan in hot water in middle of
    oven
    and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.\tAdd cooked rice to make rice pudding or add cubes of old bread and raisins for bread pudding.
