Bill'S Favorite Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. soda

Preparation

Cream shortening; add sugar and mix well.
Add eggs and beat. Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.
Pour into greased and floured loaf cake pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
