Crock-Pot Breakfast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    1 c. pearl barley or wheat berries
    2 c. chopped, mixed dried fruit
    1 c. raisins
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. coriander (optional)
    1 c. chopped, toasted almonds (optional)
Preparation
    While crock-pot is warming up on high setting, place barley in 1-quart of water and bring to a boil.
    When barley comes to a boil and crock-pot is hot, pour barley and water into crock-pot and add remaining water.
    Cover, turn heat to low and leave on all night. About 15 minutes before serving, add remaining ingredients except almonds and stir together.
    Place in serving dish and sprinkle with almonds.
    Yields 4 servings.
