Swieback - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cakes yeast
    2 c. lukewarm water
    3 c. flour (add to make a sponge)
    4 c. milk, scalded and cooled
    2 c. Crisco and butter
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    To raised sponge, add the cooled milk and some flour (about 1/3 cup).
    Then add other ingredients and mix.
    Let rise.
    Knead and let rise again.
    Knead and shape into swieback.
    Let rise again (about 1 hour).
