Mother-In-Law Lasagna - cooking recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, cut up
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. oregano
2 (8 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
1 c. water
8 oz. lasagna noodles
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1 lb. cottage cheese
4 slices Mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Brown beef and onion in a skillet until all the red color is out of the meat.
Add salt, pepper, basil, oregano, tomato sauce and water.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. While meat is cooking, cook lasagna noodles in a shallow pan about the size of 9 x 13-inch.
Arrange alternate layers of beef mixture, drained noodles, Parmesan cheese and cottage cheese, ending with beef.
Bake for 15 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Top with slices of Mozzarella cheese and bake another 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
