Chocolate Intrigue Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. granulated sugar
    3 unbeaten eggs
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. Hershey's chocolate syrup
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease bottom of a 10-inch tube pan. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Add vanilla to milk and alternately add flour mixture and milk to the creamed mixture, beating well after each addition.
    Pour 2/3 of batter into prepared pan.
    Mix chocolate syrup and baking soda together.
    Add to remaining batter.
