Asparagus Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (13 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth
    3 c. pared and chopped potatoes
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    salt to taste
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cut frozen asparagus (I use fresh too)
    1 1/2 c. light cream
    1 (4 oz.) carton cream cheese
    1 tsp. pimento, chopped
Preparation
    In large saucepan, combine chicken broth, potatoes, onion, salt and nutmeg.
    Bring to boiling.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5 to 8 minutes, until potatoes are barely tender. Add asparagus, return to boiling.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes more, until vegetables are tender.
