Ingredients

1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
2 c. milk
pinch of salt
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch.
Add eggs; mix well.
Add milk slowly and cook in double boiler over hot water until thick and smooth.
Cool; add vanilla and pour into 9-inch baked pie shell.
Top with meringue made with 2 egg whites and 2 tablespoons sugar.
