Emily'S Scandinavian Bean Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) can French-style green beans, drained
1 (16 oz.) can green peas, drained
2 to 3 stalks celery, diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 (4 oz.) can pimentos, diced and drained
1/2 c. oil
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. paprika
Preparation

Put green beans, green peas, celery, onion and pimentos into a bowl and salt to taste.
Shake oil and sugar in a jar until sugar looks oily and add vinegar, water and paprika.
Shake again and then pour over the vegetables.
Cover bowl and let stand overnight in the refrigerator.
This will last for weeks in the refrigerator (if everyone is away on vacation).
