Banana Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or shortening
2 eggs, separated
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking powder
3 mashed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening or butter.
Add egg yolks and beat thoroughly.
Add milk, soda, baking powder and bananas.
Add flour, egg whites (not beaten) and vanilla.
Place in 3 well-greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes.
Remove and ice with butter icing, spreading generously between layers as well as the outside.
