Red Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. uncooked rice
    1/2 lb. bacon, diced
    1 envelope Lipton beefy onion soup
    1 can tomato soup
    1/2 jar mild salsa
    4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown bacon in large pan, remove and set aside.
    Drain all but 2 tablespoons drippings.
    Saute rice in drippings briefly.
    Add remaining ingredients; stir until well combined.
    Bring to boil and turn down to low.
    Cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
    Stir in cooked bacon and serve. Serves 6 to 8.
