Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
3 eggs, separated
2 c. milk
3/4 c. coconut
1 pie shell, baked
1 tsp. cream of tartar
6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Combine sugar and flour in bowl.
Beat egg yolks in bowl. Heat milk and add dry ingredients and egg yolks.
Cook until it is thickened, stirring constantly.
Add coconut and pour into shell. Make meringue by beating egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff adding sugar gradually.
Spread on pie and brown.
