Custard Pie(Heritage Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slightly beaten eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    9 inch unbaked pastry shell (roll dough less than 1/8 inch)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. scalded milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 475 degrees.
    Mix thoroughly eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla.
    Slowly stir in hot milk.
    Pour at once into unbaked shell.
    Dash top with nutmeg.
    Bake in hot oven at 475 degrees for 5 minutes,
    and reduce heat to 425 degrees and bake for 10 minutes longer or until knife comes out clean.
