Cheddar And Macaroni Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. (7 oz.) uncooked macaroni
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    1 clove garlic, crushed or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes with liquid, diced
    1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, cut in small cubes
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook macaroni according to package directions.
    Drain.
    Brown beef with garlic, onions and peppers.
    Drain off excessive fat. Stir in tomatoes with following seasonings:
    basil, thyme, salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir in macaroni and half of the cheese.
    Turn into a lightly greased 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Cover top with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Makes 6 large servings.
