13 Day Pickle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 gal. cucumbers
2 oz. cinnamon bark
9 lb. sugar
1 oz. celery seed
3 to 4 drops green food coloring
alum
3 qt. vinegar
Preparation
-
Wash cucumbers, put in salt brine strong enough to float an egg.
Let stand in this for 6 days; drain.
