Easy Sauerkraut Supper - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. sauerkraut, drained
    1 c. dry white wine
    1 apple, pared and diced
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. caraway seed
    4 medium red potatoes, quartered (optional)
    1 lb. Polish sausage or frankfurters
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
    Add onion; cook, stirring often, 3 minutes.
    Add sauerkraut, wine, apple, brown sugar and caraway seed; mix well.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add potatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes or until tender.
    Add sausage or franks and cook 20 minutes or until heated through.
