Old-Fashioned Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. meat (beef cubes)
    1 c. diced carrots
    8 potatoes, diced
    1 large onion, cut up fine
    1 c. whole kernel corn
    1 qt. water
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 qt. tomatoes
Preparation
    Cover meat with water.
    Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
    Add carrots, potatoes, onions and corn to meat stock.
    Cover and cook 15 minutes.
    Add tomatoes and cook 30 minutes until vegetables are tender.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
