Country Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. beef stew, cut in thin strips
    1/4 c. plain flour
    2 Tbsp. Crisco oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Heat beef with flour.
    Heat oil in heavy, 3-quart saucepan and add beef and onions and brown.
    Stir in salt, pepper, soup, evaporated milk and water.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
    Cover and cook 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
