Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. thick applesauce (unsweet)
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. raisins (optional)

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add remaining ingredients and beat 1 minute.
Pour into loaf pan lined with wax paper.
Preheat oven at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
Bake 35 minutes.
