Green Tomato Pie - cooking recipe

3 c. green tomatoes
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. raisins (optional)
1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Slice tomatoes in rings.
Cover with boiling water and let stand 10 minutes; drain.
Place in pie shell.
Combine all other ingredients and pour over tomatoes.
Dot with butter.
Place top crust and bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then at 375\u00b0 for 30 additional minutes.
