Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 egg
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 small onion, chopped
1 c. buttermilk or sweet milk

Preparation

Combine all together and drop with teaspoon in deep fat at 300\u00b0.
Cook until brown.
Drain on paper towel.
