Ole Time Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium sized sweet potatoes
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. cold water
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Peel
    sweet
    potatoes and slice longways about 1/4-inch thick. Cook
    in
    small amount of water until half done.
    Line an
    8 x 8-inch pan, bottom and sides, with homemade pie crust. Lay potatoes
    crisscrossed
    in pan.
    Add margarine, allspice, sugar and
    water.
    Cover
    with
    pie crust.
    With sharp knife, slit
    the crust
    several
    times.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 40 minutes until crust is brown.
