Roy'S Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

15 lb. ground beef
1 lb. shortening
1 gal. water
1 tsp. garlic
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. oregano
1 c. chili powder
1/2 c. paprika
handful of salt
2 c. flour
3 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 c. water
1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice
3 c. fresh fruit (peaches, grapes, banana, strawberries, plums, melons, oranges and apricots)
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Combine the tapioca, sugar and 1 cup of the water in a saucepan.
Bring to a full, rolling boil, stirring constantly. Remove from burner.
Blend in the orange juice until melted.
Add remaining 1 1/2 cups water.
Cool 20 minutes.
Stir, cover and chill thoroughly.
Prepare desired fruit and cut into bite size pieces.
When soup is chilled, add the fruits and lemon juice. Serves about 8 hungry teenagers.
The recipe is easily doubled or tripled.
