Banana Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In a bowl, combine first four ingredients.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Add bananas, buttermilk, shortening, eggs and vanilla.
Beat with electric mixer on low speed, until mixed well, then go to medium speed for 3 minutes.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8 x 1 1/2-inch or 9 x 1 1/2-inch round pans.
Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
