Strawberry Pie(Shoney'S Style) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 baked pie shell
1 c. water
3 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
1 1/2 pt. fresh strawberries
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
red food coloring
1 tsp. almond flavoring

Preparation

Cook sugar, water and cornstarch until it becomes clear, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add Jell-O, almond flavoring and red food coloring.
Cool to touch.
Stir in strawberries and spoon into pie shell.
Refrigerate.
Top with whipped cream, if desired.
