Baked Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    4 Tbsp. cornmeal
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 beaten egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk and gradually stir in cornmeal.
    Stir until thick and cook in a double boiler for 15 minutes.
    Mix together sugar, molasses, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
    Add to the cornmeal and stir until blended.
    Add butter, egg and vanilla.
    Pour into a greased baking dish and bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour.
    Serve with a dash of Cool Whip or whipped cream.
