Oatmeal Hamburgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rolled oats
    1 c. ground walnuts
    3 Tbsp. canned milk
    2 beaten eggs
    salt to tast
    sage to taste
    1 medium onion, minced
    1 tsp. Vegex
Preparation
    Beat eggs and combine all other ingredients with them.
    Drop from spoon to form small patties.
    Brown on both sides in hot shortening.
    Cover with water in which a rounded teaspoon of Vegex was dissolved.
    Simmer 45 minutes on top of stove or in oven.
    The liquid will boil away, leaving delicious patties.
