Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    3 to 4 c. water
    2 lb. braised stew beef or a ham bone
    1 (3 lb.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    3 medium diced white potatoes (optional)
    1 small head shredded cabbage (optional)
    1 (16 oz.) c. whole kernel corn
Preparation
    Combine braise stew or ham with water and tomatoes.
    Let boil slowly for 30 minutes.
    Add frozen vegetables and cook for 30 minutes more.
    Add corn, potatoes and cabbage.
    Cook until done. Season to taste with salt, pepper and onion anytime during cooking.
    Yields approximately 4 quarts.
