Caramelized Pearl Onions With Brussels Sprouts - cooking recipe

2 (10 oz.) pkg. fresh pearl onions (about 4 c.)
3 (10 oz.) pkg. fresh Brussels sprouts
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar (such as champagne)
1/4 c. white wine
1 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add onions; cook 1 minute. Drain; cool slightly. Add Brussels sprouts to boiling water. Cook until tender, 15 to 20 minutes; drain and set aside.
