Rhubarb Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. rhubarb, washed and cut in 1-inch pieces
    2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cinnamon
    3 c. self-rising flour
    pinch of salt
    milk
Preparation
    Mix 2 cups sugar and cinnamon.
    Prepare a batter of flour, salt and enough milk to make a stiff dough.
    Take 1/6 of dough; roll out.
    Put 1/2 cup rhubarb on dough.
    Put 3 tablespoons of sugar mixture on top of rhubarb.
    Add 1 tablespoon butter; pinch together at top.
    Repeat with the rest of dough.
    Place in deep oven dish. Pour a syrup made of brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
