Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pound bacon
1 large onion, chopped
6 large baking potatoes, cut into large cubes
3 to 4 cups milk
salt and pepper to taste
3 pats of butter
Preparation

Boil potatoes in water until done. Drain. Mash, leaving some chunks. Fry bacon and set aside to cool. Saute onions in bacon grease. Crumble up bacon and place in pot with potatoes. Add onions, milk, salt and pepper and butter. Warm on medium heat, being careful not to scorch. Serve with saltine crackers.
