Elegant Potatoes Au Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 to 8 red potatoes (must be red)
8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese
1 tsp. salt
1 pt. whipping cream
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Boil the potatoes in jackets and shred on medium grater.
Melt butter in small pan and stir in bread crumbs. Set aside.
Grate cheese.
Butter a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Alternate layers of potatoes and cheese. Sprinkle with salt. Pour unwhipped cream over the potatoes.
Top with cheese layer and buttered crumbs. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes. Serves 10 to 12.
