Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    salt to taste
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. self-rising cornmeal mix
    1 c. buttermilk or whole milk
    1/2 c. oil
    2 eggs
    1 can cream-style corn
    8 oz. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
    chopped jalapenos
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion, then drain.
    While this is cooking, mix together the next 5 ingredients in a large mixing bowl (cornmeal mix, buttermilk, oil, eggs, corn).
