Streusel Strawberry Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. pecans, coarsely chopped
1 (10 oz.) jar strawberry or raspberry preserves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Combine butter and sugar in large mixer bowl.
Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well blended. Add egg and flour.
Beat until mixture is crumbly, 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir in pecans.
Reserve 1 cup crumb mixture; press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of greased 9-inch square baking pan.
Spread preserves to within 1/2-inch of edge of crust. Crumble reserved crumb mixture over preserves.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool completely.
Cut into bars.
