Midge'S Pudding Sauce(Hard Sauce) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth. Add egg yolk (unbeaten) and beat mixture well together.
    Then add vanilla and 3 tablespoons boiling water, one at a time, beating well as each is added.
    Fold in beaten egg white and set aside to harden.
