Glaze - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
1 stick or 1/2 c. butter or margarine
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over cake in pan while hot.
The cake may be cut in squares and served from the pan.
It may be kept in the refrigerator several days.
If using Martha White plain flour, increase baking soda to 1 1/4 teaspoons.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking powder.
