Walnut Loaf Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Set aside. Cream shortening with sugar until fluffy.
Add egg yolks and vanilla.
Beat thoroughly.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk in small amounts, beating well after each addition.
Add nuts; blend.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 50 minutes.
