Homemade Light Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    2 c. buttermilk
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 envelope dry yeast
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to buttermilk.
    Cut shortening into flour mixture.
    Add liquid; work lightly.
    Roll and cut like any biscuit.
    Let stand 2 hours.
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0; bake for 15 minutes.
